This is a painting on discernment, a woman's intuition.
Highlighting the trope of the woman and the dragon, or the woman and the serpent seen throughout mythology and religious text, this piece reveres a woman’s intuition. Even as Eve was tempted by the serpent, she listened to her intuition and made the choice to partake of the fruit.
We see the dragon whispering in the woman's ear. His body extends far into the horizon suggesting a long, eternal struggle. She looks beyond him, clutching her stomach (following her gut), while a glistening cross embellished with a light beam glistens on her neck, representing the Light of Christ.
The light of Christ lives within you. The woman is able to discern truths even in the face of the dragon.
Available in 5x7 and 8x10 inches, white or black background on luminous paper.
